Kerric was a great friend who helped me through a lot in my life. His unique views of the world were enlightening. We met through a mutual friend and most recently he hosted me for my first visit to Chicago back in September. He was always kind and helpful, even when it inconvenienced him. His presence is already missed, and the world feels darker without him.

I knew Kerric through mutual friends and some sporadic work we did together. Kerric was always kind, friendly, sincere, and just a genuinely good guy. The world is already a sadder place without him in it. Godspeed, Kerric.

I knew Kerric from the mean streets of Schaumburg in the late 70’s and 80’s. We’d encounter Kerric and Arlyn prowling Walnut Lane or at a gathering when our families socialized. My memories of him are only from childhood, but one might argue that this perspective offers a distilled knowledge of a person. He brought a bright energy to a group and expressed his wit and intellect with such a level of confidence that people knew he was destined to live a very rich life. I admired Kerric’s sense of humor and remember thinking that he was lucky to be a cool guy like his father, living life on his own terms. They should both still be here today. I wish for the people whom love Kerric, that all of your beautiful memories remain prominently in your focus as the days continue…

Although I never met Kerric, he touched my life through his Uncle Richard whom I met at university in 1975. I remember his uncle beaming with pride as he showed me a photo of young Kerric: “Isn’t he the cutest!”
The upcoming days and months will be difficult. I pray God consoles all of Kerric’s family and friends and that one day soon your tears will turn to smiles whenever you think of Kerric and that you will thank God for the blessing he bestowed.
With deepest sympathy,
Tony Moseley

Kerric had a knack for solving problems and helping our team at work be the best we could be. He will be a missed friend and co-worker.
A donation has been made on Kerric’s behalf to Forever Fed, Woodstock, GA. Forever Fed provides meals, gently used clothing, books, grocery support, and shares the Good News with those who are in need in the community.

Kerric was in my major and part of my study group at the University of Illinois. I always found him to be a really intelligent, hard-working guy who almost always had a big smile on his face. He would laugh with us all day long, tell stories about his frat or swimming, and we would mock his boat shoes. Kerric had a really infectious energy and positive spirit. He was a great person and will be sorely missed.
